 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1:  Why did the Courses change?   
A1: The course will start and finish at 5th & Phillips Ave under the archway whenever possible.   This may change year to year based on permitting, weather or construction. 
 
Q2: Is there race day registration and/or packet pickup on Saturday?
A2: LIMITED RACE DAY REGISTRATION - We encourage everyone to register online prior to Saturday morning there will be very limited time for packet pickup on Saturday.  
 
Q3: What is your transfer/refund policy?
A3: There are no refunds, but we would be happy to transfer your registration to next year's event.  Simply contact us to notify us you will not be able to participate in this year's event and would like to transfer your registration to next year. Your status will then be updated to "Transferred" online.   The following year, you will need to register online then contact us.  We will process a refund for your previous year's registration.   To be eligble for a transfer at no additional fee, you will need to register online when the dollar amount is equal or greater value from the previous year.   Transfers must also be completed no later than three weeks prior to event date.  
  
Q4: Can strollers be used on the course?
A4: As long as you are not interfering with the other runners and walkers on the course strollers can be used on the course.  You must however complete the course prior to the course being shut down by the police.  This will mostly apply to the Mile course.  You may be asked to move to the sidewalk or the side of the road if you do not complete the course in under a 12-13 minute pace.  
 
Q5: Where can I park on race day?
A5: Please park in publicly available parking lots in the downtown Sioux Falls area.  We strongly suggest car pooling or public transportation whenever possible. You may also park at the Falls Park, 8th and Railroad Building parking lot or use the Downtown Sioux Falls public parking areas.  AllSportCentral recommends that all St Pattys Day Mile runners avoid using the parking ramp next to the Pavilion, a separate event is occurring there & the lot will be heavily used.   Downtown Sioux Falls Parking details and maps.
 
Q6: Why do I not have a BIB number assigned?
A6: If none of the participants have bib numbers assigned then the event has not yet assigned numbers.  Check back later.  If others have BIB numbers and you do not than check your status.  If your status is not REGISTERED or COMP ENTRY and the race has not yet occurred  then check your status and contact event.  There may have been a problem with your registration.
 
Q7: Why do I have a status of UNPAID?
A7: This means the event has not yet received your signed registration with your check/money order written for the proper amount.  You will not be considered part of the event until payment has been received.   You may also be required to  pay additional money if the price has now increased.
 
Q8: How do I get my Back Ordered Event Shirts or Participant Bag if we can not make it to the event?
A8: Event shirts will be reserved for participants until Monday following the event. If the shirt is not claimed by June 1st they will be made available for purchase. You can still claim your shirt after Monday, but there will no longer be a guarantee that it is still available. Shirts will be availble at the packet pickup location following the parade until 7:00PM.  Come on down and get them early. After Monday you will need to pay to have it shipped.
 
Q9: What happens in the case of an event cancellation for any reason?
A9: The Race Organizers reserve the right to cancel this event at any time due to inclement weather and/or safety concerns.  Due to the holiday aspect of the event it is possible the event WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULED and NO REFUNDS will be issued.  In this case all pre-registered participants will get partiicpant bag with shirt, bib, and any other items that were pre-packaged within the bags.  A discount will be provided to register for the next years event as a courtesy.  Event orginaizers will inform participants of the cancellation via event website, email, and local media outlets.
